Here is a great package for 5-gallon Betta aquariums. I chose these plants because they are easy to care for and don't require anything special such as fertilizers, co2, or strong light to flourish. I also chose larger leaf plants for your Betta as Bettas like to lay on or under large leaf plants.
The package consists of:

One Cryptocoryne Spiralis or Retrospiralis (2 rooted plants) - Background plant
One  bunch of Pennywort or Bacopa Carolina, or Moneywort
One Java fern or Lace Java Fern - Mid-ground plant
One Anubias Bateri Nana Narrow Leaf or Anubias Coffeefolia - Mid-ground to Foreground plant
One Banana Plant or Dwarf Water Lily - Foreground, Anywhere

Please Note:

At times, I may be out of a certain plant. I will exchange the plant for a similar plant that will work in the package. If you would prefer I do not exchange any plants, please leave a message when you checkout to let me know.

Outstanding plants
I wish I could attach a photo!!! I bought this plant package 4 months ago and all of my plants are healthy and growing like crazy. If your thinking about getting this just do it. The plants I received were very healthy and well packaged.

good quality plants
I bought this package to put in a Spec V. The plants arrived wrapped in wet newsprint and sealed in plastic which was then wrapped with more newsprint and like fiberglass attic insulation. There is a warning on the package about this but just so you know if you're sensitive to insulation. The shipping price was fair though so no complaints there. I actually received 3 crypts and 2 java fern in addition to everything mentioned in the description. All the plants looked great and healthy with the exception of the dwarf lily which just looked like a rock. I was a little worried at first but once in the tank that plant actually took off and now I have to trim it like crazy as it has gotten huge. I ended up throwing the moneywort away as I didn't really like the look of that plant. It did grow very well though. The java ferns came with spores on them and now I have like 10 baby java ferns growing which is cool but they do look kinda bad as a result. The anubus hardly grows but it did anchor onto my driftwood fairly quickly and I only had to have it tied for about a month. The crypts melt but eventually grow back and from what I've read that is common with crypts. Only downsides really was the plants did not come labeled (minor/non-issue for some people) and the plants came with snails which was annoying. You may like snails but I definitely do not and had to spend a few days crushing them as I found them (two dozen worth) Overall good quality plants at a good price.
