Hygrophila corymbosa 'Siamensis' is a thinner leaved variety of Hygrophila corymbosa.  Narrow Leaf Temple as it is sometimes referred to in the trade, is a strong growing aquarium plant that is best suited for the background areas.

With the exception of very small aquariums and those with almost no illumination, there is no situation in which H. corymbosa Siamensis cannot find a good home. Lighting and nutrient demands are moderate, as are those relating to nutrients. In addition, a wide variety of water hardness levels and temperatures are tolerated.

Like many plants if kept under strong light the leaves will take on a red or pinkish hue. See pictures to the left.

NOTE: When planting this plant it is advised to plant each stem separate so light can get to the bottom of each stem.

Stem plants are usually cuttings of plants that normally don't come with roots. This is how stem plants are sold in the aquatic plant industry although at times my stem plants may come with roots because I have been growing them out. All stem plants come with a plant weight that holds the plant in place and is safe for your tank.

To plant just let the weight lay on your substrate and the stems will grow roots throughout your substrate. You can also plant the tips, about 1/4" in your substrate if you prefer.

Perfect!!!!
This has got to be one of my favorite plants. The bunch was so full and looked great. The picture actually does not do the plant you receive justice. Highly recommended.

Nice Plant
I had this plant a long time ago and was wanting to get it again. When the plant arrived it was bigger and better then I use to have. Showed up in great shape. If you have moderate light and fertilizers this plant should do fine for you.I have never had any problems with my fish being to rough on it as a previous reviewer said. It stands up really well to all my tropical fish.

Great Plant
I was not sure if this plant would work in my tank because I have only 2 watts per gallon and only dose excel. NOt oly did they work but they flourished. My Nitrate level dropped which helped with the Algae outbreak I would sometimes have. This plant has become my best looking plant as well.

too delicate
I made a large purchase to test which plants can hold up in my very active tank and this one missed the mark. All it takes is one of my fish to swim by it and a leaf snaps off. I'm down to 3 spindly stems in 4 days. This won't make it a week unfortunately.
