Anubias Nancon is an excellent choice for a hardy, easy to maintain aquarium plant. Nancon has a long green leaf with wavy parts. Anubias are some of the only plants that can be used in cichlid tanks and goldfish tanks. Typically these do best attached to a surface such as driftwood or rock, glued or tied at the rhizome.
Propagation is relatively easy with cuttings. To ensure optimal growth if planted in the substrate, however, ensure the rhizome of divided plants is always above the substrate.
Hardiness: Very Easy
Light Needs: Low to high
Plant Structure: Rhizome
Growth Rate: Slow
You are buying one rooted or potted (choose from the drop-down menu) plant that will have 5 or more leaves and averages approx. Ten or more inches tall.
You can plant Anubias on driftwood, between rocks, or aquarium decorations. You can also plant them in your substrate but make sure you do not plant any of the rhizomes in your substrate, only the roots that come off the rhizome. Please go here for more information on planting.
