Cryptocoryne undulata is yet another striking plant in the rosette plant group. It has beautiful thin crinkled leaves, which are chocolate brown or dark green on top and rosy copper on the bottom. In some lighting conditions, it is possible to bring out intense red or lavender undertones.
Although height is variable, it rarely exceeds 6 inches making it ideal for the middle or front of the aquarium. Like most other crypt species, it does well from low light to moderate light, soft to hard water.
Distribution: The Undulated Crypt originates from Sri Lanka.
Water conditions: Temperature: 75-82° F (24-28° C)
pH: 6.5 - 7.5
Light level: Low to moderate, 1-2 WPG (watts per gallon).
You are buying 1 rooted plant that will have 5 or more leaves averaging 5 or more inches tall.
Only plant the root in your substrate, not any of the plant itself, or this can cause melting or shock. For more information on planting and caring for your plants, please go here.
