Planting Instructions

Stem plants are usually cuttings of plants that generally don't come with roots. This is how stem plants are sold in the aquatic plant industry, although at times, my stem plants may come with roots because I have been growing them out. All stem plants come with a plant weight that holds the plant in place and is safe for your tank.

To plant, just let the weight lay on your substrate, and the stems will grow roots throughout your substrate. You can also plant the tips, about 1/4" in your substrate if you prefer.

Please go here for more information on planting.

Please note this plant can not be sold to the states listed below due to that state prohibiting them.

I was SHOCKED when I received these! This was my first order and I'm really new to aquarium plants. I couldn't believe how large the portions were and how beautiful the plants are! I've already placed a second order for these. I can't wait for them to grow bigger!

I got a nice healthy plant. It is growing as fast as it can with my guppy's loving it.(yes, guppy's) They let it grow a little for two three days. Then eat all the little new pieces off. I have 14 inch stems with cool 2 inch tops. Very happy with these. They can take a beating and they are still going.

Strong grower
This, and the green version, grow FAST and LONG, but keep in mind: they need nutrients and good light! I made the mistake of planting them too thickly and lost about 2/3 of what I had ordered and grown, but after focused trimming and careful replanting, they are bouncing back stronger than ever. A lovely 'fluffy' plant that smaller tank inhabitants enjoy.

Quick melt
The plant looked great when it arrived and I really liked the color. Within three days the entire bottom half lost it's little leaves and the stem was turning to mush. By day five they were totally dead. My new swords were still doing fine though.
