Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' is a beautiful gold-colored cultivar of Lysimachia nummularia. It is also known as golden creeping Jenny.
L. nummularia 'Aurea' is a relatively fast grower and at the same time, it is quite undemanding. It does well in soft to hard water, pH values of 6 to 8 and temperatures of 15 to 26 °C are not a problem. Even though it does well under low lights and without CO2 injection, For robust growth and the best colors it prefers stronger light and CO2 supplementation.
Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' has a rather vertical growth habit and does not grow too bushy to the sides, and accordingly it doesn't grow too many lateral shoots. When allowed to reach the water surface it continues growing emersed.
Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' can easily be propagated by cutting off the top or some of the few lateral shoots. These are planted in the substrate after trimming. In general, Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' forms quite a few roots on its nodes.

Stem plants are usually cuttings of plants that normally don't come with roots. This is how stem plants are sold in the aquatic plant industry although at times my stem plants may come with roots because I have been growing them out. All stem plants come with a plant weight that holds the plant in place and is safe for your tank.
To plant just let the weight lay on your substrate and the stems will grow roots throughout your substrate. You can also plant the tips, about 1/4" in your substrate if you prefer.
