Vallisneria Americana var. biwaensis, also known as Corkscrew Val, is much like Contortion Val and Italian Val but has a more pronounced spiral. It does not get as tall as other Vallisneria so that it would work well as a mid-ground plant for large aquariums or background for small aquariums.
Works well from low light to high light and neutral to alkaline water.
You are buying three rooted plants that are approx. 6" tall.
Common Name: Corkscrew
Family Name: Hydrocharitaceae
Native To Asia
Growth Demands: Moderate
Growth Rate: medium
Placement In Tank: Mid-ground to background
Vallisneria plants are bottom feeders, so only plant the roots, Not the plant itself (where the green starts) in your substrate. Planting this plant too deep can cause melting. Adding fertilizer tabs a couple of inches from the roots is suggested.
