Hygrophila difformis also known as Wisteria is beautiful and undemanding. A plant for beginners which can help create a balance in the aquarium from the start. Wisteria has rapid growth which helps prevent algae because the plant absorbs a great number of nutrients from the water. You can use Wisteria as a foreground plant by cutting the stem short or let it grow tall and use it as a mid-ground or background plant (see pictures)
At this time the Wisteria is being grown submerged although only the new growth looks like submerged growth. The plants you will receive will look more like the 3rd picture above. After a few weeks of being completely underwater, it will look like the first 2 pictures.

Stem plants are cuttings of plants that generally don't come with roots. This is how stem plants are sold in the aquatic plant industry although at times my stem plants may come with roots because I have been growing them out. All stem plants come with a plant weight that holds the plant in place and is safe for your tank.
To plant just let the weight lay on your substrate and the stems will grow roots throughout your substrate. You can also plant the tips, about 1/4" in your substrate if you prefer.
